It is because of the profound love between Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati which has remained a tale of dedication, patience, and spiritual connection since ages . And Mahashivratri is the auspicious day which has marked the beginning of this beloved tale .
So Mahashivratri is one of the most auspicious hindu festival celebrated all over the country and it is not just a day of worship but a day to celebrate the divine love of God Shiva and Maa Parvati.This sacred occasion marks their heavenly marriage and symbolizes the victory of devotion, perseverance, and unwavering faith.

Parvati, an incarnation of Sati, was determined to win Shiva’s heart again, even after her previous birth as Sati ended in tragedy. She undertook rigorous penance and did meditation, fasting and worshiped shiva for years . Moved by her love and commitment, Shiva finally accepted her as his divine consort, and their celestial wedding took place on the night of Mahashivratri.
This story is not just about romance; it represents the union of Purusha (the masculine divine consciousness) and Prakriti (the feminine energy of creation). It signifies balance in the universe and the idea that love is eternal, beyond life and death.

Why Do People Celebrate Mahashivratri?
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the festival owes its origins to several versions, one of them being a celebration of Shiva and Parvati’s marriage to each other. 
But there are some other facts about this festival , According to some, Shivratri is celebrated as the day when Shiva saved the world from the pot of poison that emerged from the ocean during Samudra Manthan. People believes that , Lord Shiva drank the poison and stored it in his throat–which made his throat turn blue (which is why he also came to be known as Neelkanth).

Although the scientific reason to celebrate this day is related to energy shifts and the alignment of the sun and moon. Mahashivratri is not just a festival; it is a night of transformation. It is believed that on this night, cosmic energies are at their peak, making it the most powerful time for meditation and spiritual growth. It signifies the conquest of darkness and ignorance, leading to enlightenment and inner peace.

A Sky Full of Sorrows: Inside the Tragic Crash of Air India Flight:

June 12 turned into a tragic chapter in aviation history when an Air India flight from Ahemdabad to London crashed in moments after taking off. This horrific incident took place at the west side of Ahemdabad where the plane collided into a building that served as a  doctor's hostel at the Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Medical College and Civil Hospital.This accident had caused the death of 241 on board passengers including the crew members .
